novofil© high-tech filament brushes are the cutting edge in brushing technology. They are best suited to precision part finishing applications such as deburring and edge radiusing.

Brushing cells can be integrated in production lines to eliminate manual finishing operations. Brushes can be added to tool changers in CNC machining centers for automated in-place deburring. Robots can be fitted with chucked brushes to finish stationary parts, or they can utilize bench motor styles for fixtured part handling.

Abrasive filaments consist of tough and flexible synthetic bristles which are impregnated with hard abrasive grains of Silicon Carbide, Aluminium Oxide, and even Diamond. Compared to conventional wire brushes, Novofil filaments can not only be used in a much wider variety of applications but also have a longer working life. Examples of use:

The orginal Osborn fill material being fastened into a wing shape,with a double wire core. In addition, the outer contact surface are designed in such a way that the working surface is enlarged. This Special brush construction requires a relatively high brush oversizing (+ 15%) tu ensure effective operation and optimum performence.

The orginal Osborn fill material which is fastenend into a spiral shape, and double wire core. We utilise white aluminium oxide for these brush types, thereby ensuring both a superior quality finish and pronologed brush life.

A welded safety construction, Optiumum fill density allows for a smooth operation and a higher flexibility, minimising the risk of breakage. Standard arbor holes may be reduced to desired diameters by means of exchangeable metal adaptors. As fill material we use white aluminium oxide, a medium hardness abrasive (softer than silicon carbide) is used for these brushes.

A harder abrasive grit, green silicon carbide (which is harder then grey silicon bide) is used for these brushes. These grits have an extremely hard-edged surface.
